CANADA GOOSE | JUNE 2022
Canada Goose hosted a campaign to promote their new cruelty free line HUMANNATURE. A range that I believe is a step in the right direction for the company as they cease manufacturing with fur by the end of 2022.

I once said that I would never work with Canada Goose due to their use of fur and how the fur was obtained. I have just never understood or respected using fur for fashion and it being masked as a necessity for warmth in countries that didn't require it. It wasn't until I received an email to which I ignored for 3 weeks out of my principal that I thought about their changes that made me consider accepting this job. During these 3 weeks I thought long and hard about a response that was originally angry and over time became open minded. I recognised and appreciated the changes that's being made in the brand.
Canada Goose has stopped purchasing fur for their products and will cease manufacturing with fur no later than the end of 2022 - a move I never thought I'd see from the brand. Their new range HUMANATURE is all about sustainability and is the brands way of moving in the right direction to more ethical practices for clothing. Their sustainability report and all information on their future plans can be accessed on their website.
I can only hope that my role in this shows that change is possible, necessary and can be celebrated even with ugly pasts. I understand that not many people share these views with me but I hope in time we can see more brands taking these actions to be kinder to our planet and the animals that live in it.
